How to wash and dry bike pants, shorts and jerseys so they last into a third season.
Caring for bike pants and shorts
- Wash at up to 30 °C
- Do not bleach
- Do not iron
- Do not tumble dry
- Dry flat
- Gentle wash in cool water (up to 30 °C), inside out, with the hook-and-loop fastened; slow spin. Rub heavy soiling by hand with detergent first. Wash white items separately from coloured ones.
- Do not bleach, do not use fabric softener. Stains can be removed only on white items — spot-treat with a stain-remover pen.
- Do not iron.
- Do not tumble dry.
- After spinning, dry laid flat without heat.

- Gentle hand or machine wash in cool water with liquid detergent, no fabric softener.
- Do not bleach, do not wring, do not soak.
- Do not tumble dry or spin.
- Dry laid flat without heat.

Caring for white bike pants
White and light-coloured bike pants stay clean longer if you follow a few simple rules.
- Use a wax-based or another modern chain lube instead of oil: it washes out easily and leaves no stubborn stains.
- Treat the dirt before washing: rub the soiled spots with a stain-removing soap or apply a stain spray, then rinse in cool water.
- Prepare the item: close the zips, fasteners and hook-and-loop, and turn the pants inside out.
- Machine wash with a liquid detergent for delicates on a gentle or quick cycle at up to 30 °C, without a high-speed spin. Skip fabric softener and never tumble dry — the fabric shrinks and loses its stretch.
- After washing, shake the item out and hang it to dry laid flat, away from direct sun and heaters. No ironing needed.
